What is Wabbajack and why should you use it?

Wabbajack is an automated mod pack installation app. It will install everything you need to play NV:MP as well as essential stability and quality-of-life mods.

We recommend installing NV:MP with Wabbajack for the quickest, easiest and most stable experience.

Before you start playing with New Vegas: Multiplayer, you must make sure your installation of Fallout: New Vegas meets the requirements for installation. It is recommended you have a fresh install of Fallout: New Vegas and please ensure all these following requirements are met, or your installation may not behave as expected.

Minimum of Windows 7 or higher

4gb of RAM

Pure installation of Fallout: New Vegas (without third party mods, or patches)

Internet access (required for the first initial patches, but NV:MP fully supports LAN / offline play afterwards)

Steam or GoG version only. The Xbox Game Pass and Epic Games versions are incompatible with NV:MP, even with the downgrader patch.

Epic Games account required to connect to the RADD official server and public SDK servers (not required for coop servers or offline play)

A Discord account is required to connect to the RADD official server and some public SDK servers.

All DLC (not required for coop servers)

1. Go to https://www.wabbajack.org/ and click Download.

2. Make a new folder on the root of any drive called 'Wabbajack' then cut and paste Wabbajack.exe into that folder. Next, launch Wabbajack.exe, it will automatically update to the latest version.

3. Create another new folder called 'NVMP Mod Organizer' on the root of the same drive which New Vegas is installed on (example - C:\NVMP Mod Organizer) If this folder is not on the same drive as New Vegas you will not be albe to launch NVMP.

4. In Wabbajack, click 'Browse lists' and navigate to Fallout New Vegas. Tick 'Non-Featured' then locate NV Multiplayer. Click 'Install', then set the 'Installation Location' field to the 'NVMP Mod Organizer' folder you just created. The 'Downloads Location' field should then fill out atomatically, then click the 'Install' button at the bottom right to begin downloading.

5. You will now be prompted to login to https://www.nexusmods.com/. Once you are logged in a series of Nexus download pages will open in Wabbajack. You only need to click 'slow download' for each page. The pages will open and close automatically, do not close them manually.

6. When installation is complete click 'Open in File Explorer', then ensure that ModOrganizer.exe is set to run as administrator.

7. Launch ModOrganizer.exe, you may receive a warning message that an INI file is set to read-only; click 'Clear the read-only flag'. This is normal and will only happen once.

8. Mod Organizer will now launch. You MUST now run the 4gb Patcher. Click the executables dropdown and select 4gb Patcher and click 'Run'. A console window will open to inform you if the patch was successful.

9. Installation is now complete! Click 'Run' beside the NVMP Launcher in Mod Organizer. Do NOT close Mod Organizer after launching! You will be prompted to sign into your Epic Games account and link your Discord account before you can play.

If you have connected to RADD successfully, you will see CONNECTED and your Ping on the top left of your screen once you reach the main menu.
