Credit unions are similar to banks in that they offer financial products like checking accounts, savings accounts, credit cards and loans. The big difference between a bank and a credit union is who benefits from their financial success. Banks are designed to return value to shareholders, whereas credit unions are designed to return value to their members.

Unlike a bank, we return the money the credit union earns to our members in the form of lower interest rates on loans and higher dividends on savings and checking accounts. The more fully each of our members participates in using the credit union’s products and services, the stronger the credit union becomes and the more all of our members benefit.
