When House Democrats released over 20,000 emails from former financier Jeffrey Epstein on Wednesday, some of the biggest headlines following the public release had to do with their assertion that Trump knew much more about Epstein’s abuse than he had previously admitted.

However, after their release, as people began to comb through the emails, one particular exchange captured the public’s imagination over the weekend, leading to a bevy of memes and viral videos.

The e-mail in question was a conversation between Epstein and his brother, Mark Epstein. After Jeffrey Epstein says he is “with Bannon,” most likely referencing former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon, Mark Epstein replied, “Ask him if Putin has the photos of Trump blowing Bubba?”

Jeffery Epstein responded sarcastically, “and i thought- i had tsuris,” using the Yiddish word for “troubles.”

While many people were gagged to find out that Trump potentially could have been draining more than just the swamp, what followed was truly bombshell (as well as totally speculative and untrue): the alleged identity of Bubba.

So, who’s Bubba?

Rampant speculation as to the identity of Bubba began shortly after the document made its way to the internet. Several people found that only one other person in all of Epstein’s emails was mentioned by the name Bubba, namely former president Bill Clinton.
