USD Coyotes Announce 2025 Football Schedule

{KXLG – South Dakota} The University of South Dakota Coyotes have announced their 2025 football schedule, featuring six home games at the DakotaDome. The schedule, released Tuesday morning, includes a highly anticipated home opener on September 13 against Northern Colorado and a crucial matchup against the South Dakota State Jackrabbits on November 8.

The Coyotes will kick off their 2025 campaign on the road against the Iowa State Cyclones on August 30. The season's first two weeks will see the Coyotes traveling, but they will return home on September 13 to face Northern Colorado, a team from the Big Sky Conference. The following week, on September 20, USD will host the Drake Bulldogs, concluding their non-conference play. The Coyotes have maintained a perfect record against Drake since 2000, winning all four matchups.

Conference play will begin with a trip to Fargo, North Dakota, to take on the North Dakota State Bison on September 27. The Coyotes will host Murray State on October 4 during Dakota Days, marking their MVFC home opener.

Following a two-week road stint, USD will enjoy three consecutive home games at the DakotaDome:

October 25: Illinois State

November 1: North Dakota

November 8: South Dakota State

The regular season will wrap up on November 15 with a trip to Carbondale, Illinois, to face the Southern Illinois Salukis.

The MVFC schedule was updated in August 2024 after Missouri State announced its move to the FBS level. Here's the complete schedule:
