And the result is triumphant. The rooms, which are elegant, sophisticated, and calming, offer sweeping views of Sydney’s most iconic vistas – the Harbour, Opera House and Royal Botanic Gardens. The beds are the colour of Snow White, as expansive as a snow field and soft as a marshmallow. For dinner, head to the Treasury restaurant, housed in the historic and stunning former Treasury building. The best bit? The InterContinental Sydney is an iPhone’s throw from Circular Quay – so it’s an ideal base for exploring Sydney.
