The tumor (T): The letter “T” is followed by a letter, number, or combination of both that will answer certain questions about the tumor size, location, or whether it has grown into nearby tissues or organs. The lymph nodes (N): The letter “N” is often followed by a number from 0 to 3, indicating whether the tumor has spread to any nearby lymph nodes and, if so, how many lymph nodes have been affected. Metastasis (M): The letter “M” and the number after it indicates whether the cancer has spread and how far it has spread. These numbers go from 0 to M1, with 0 meaning the cancer hasn’t spread and M1 meaning the cancer has spread. (责任编辑:) |
