The Executive Director issued her report to UNEA-7 in two parts. The first part focuses on emerging and urgent environmental issues that the Assembly may wish to address during its December 2025 session. These include water resource management, nutrient pollution, mineral governance, stratospheric protection, and the environmental footprint of artificial intelligence. These topics aim to reinforce the collective determination of the international community to ensure a vibrant and balanced environment that supports humanity’s progress toward peaceful, prosperous, and thriving societies.
