Role: SEN Teacher A highly reputable SEN School Group is seeking a dedicated and passionate Secondary SEN Teacher to join the permanent staff list of their independent special school in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. Key Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and individualized lessons tailored to the needs of SEN students in the Secondary phase. Assess and monitor student progress, providing targeted interventions and support to ensure academic and personal development. Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with other professionals, parents, and students. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and well-being. Work closely with colleagues, therapists, and external agencies to support the holistic development of students. Contribute to the school’s extracurricular activities and initiatives, enhancing the overall educational experience for students. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant teaching qualification. Proven experience teaching in a secondary SEN setting, with a strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies. Knowledge of the SEN Code of Practice and current best practices in inclusive education. Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students. Commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for SEN education. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Dedication to maintaining the high standards and ethos of the school. Desirable Attributes: Additional qualifications or training in SEN education. Experience in using assistive technology and innovative teaching resources to support SEN learners.
